We were both excited and a bit nervous to remodel an original Edward Fickett design home in Encino, CA. Fickett is a renowned architect of the midcentury era and we wanted to be respective of his original design while modernizing the home for today’s living. We preserved original details like the exposed wood beams, brick fireplace, and large windows and walls of glass that brought natural light into the home. We updated the kitchen and bathrooms while maintaining that modern feel. The result is a stunning fusion of midcentury modern design and contemporary living.
